About this product

The Bowie & Dick test packages makes it possible to verify the proper removal of air from the sterilization chamber and the complete penetration of steam into porous loads.

The Bowie & Dick test simulates the performance of the device and specifically evaluates:

• The effectiveness of the pre-vacuum cycle, and therefore the penetration of steam inside cavities;

• The temperature and pressure values of saturated steam during the sterilization phase.

Technical features

Outer packaging: cardboard box with a process indicator for steam cycles.

Inside, the pack consists of two filtering layers made of cellulose, with a test card containing the Bowie & Dick indicator placed in the center.

The indicator does not release ink, as it is coated with a plastic film.

The packaging of the EC.STEAM 98 S pack ensures consistent compactness of the internal bundle, allowing proper steam permeation through the pores of the paper itself, rather than through potential gaps that could form between the individual sheets.

All materials used in the pack are suitable for medical use.

The pack is externally equipped with a process indicator that turns gray/black after processing, allowing easy identification between processed and unprocessed packages.
