Not by a factory.<\/h2>\n<p>KILA was designed in Italy by professional piercers \u2014 people who pierce for a living, and who had spent years working with needles designed by someone who never had.<\/p>\n<p>That single fact explains everything else on this page. A factory optimises cost per unit. A piercer optimises the pass. The two lead to opposite decisions, and you can feel all three of them on the tray:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A silicone membrane over the steel.<\/strong> Coating a needle costs money. It also stops the drag, keeps the channel clean and makes the hand-off to the jewellery smooth. A piercer decides that is worth paying for. A purchasing department decides it is not.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethylene oxide, not gamma.<\/strong> EO sterilises at low temperature, so the bevel geometry and the coating come out exactly as they went in. Gamma is cheaper and harder on coatings. This is a choice made by someone who has felt the difference on the hundredth pass of the day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lot and expiry on every wrapper.<\/strong> Not on the box \u2014 on each of the hundred needles inside it. Printing a label on one carton is easy. Printing it a hundred times is what a piercer asks for, because the piercer is the one standing in front of a health inspector holding a single needle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Certification and documentation<\/h2>\n<p>KILA carries an <strong>EU Declaration of Conformity<\/strong>, issued in Italy under Directive 2001\/95\/EC on general product safety. Risk analysis was carried out by the <strong>HAZOP method (IEC 61882:2016)<\/strong> and residual risk calculated by <strong>LOPA (IEC 61511-1:2016)<\/strong>. Twelve-month warranty against manufacturing defects.<\/p>\n<p>Both the declaration and the complete instruction manual are <a href=\"https:\/\/tremunpiercingdev.lionssolution.com\/certificates\/\">published on this site<\/a>. Check the expiry before use, open the wrapper at the moment of the procedure, and never let the tip touch a non-sterile surface.
